Hello! I'm Gayle.Business owner, writer, musician, and Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.
Why Beauty Blossoms?
When I was growing up in pre-Disney Orlando, Florida I had two older sisters who were absolutely beautiful. I was the youngest by far and felt I could never be beautiful like them. I bet a lot of little girls had those same feelings at one time or another.
I was a little different, but not much. I was born without my right eye–the right side of my face was like a blank canvas with no eyelids, brow or cheek bone to form an eye socket for a prosthetic eye. I spent a good part of my childhood in and out of hospitals and doctors’ offices as they figured out how to reconstruct my eye-socket and give me an artificial eye to balance my face. My parents were heroes as they managed to raise me with a good healthy sense of self-worth and confidence in the face of all this. But in the “beauty department” I simply accepted I would never be “that.”
But then. There is the truth that we are all beautiful inside and out, we just need to come to the point where we truly believe it.
I’m not there yet, but I’m beginning to see the light. I’m on a journey to blossom in entirely new ways, not just because I am nearing a big-0 birthday, but because that’s why I am on this earth.
Please join me on this ride as beauty blossoms.
Who is by my side??
First, I want to thank Jessica Papineau,
Jessica introduced me to a new weight loss program in town, Profile by Sanford. I have been a long-time Weight Watchers member but was obviously having a hard time getting inspired even when Oprah joined the WW team. I met with Phil Bourgerie, the manager of the Sarasota Profile by Sanford office and the weight started coming off the minute I committed to the program. I’m taking it day by day but so far this is working for me and I am very grateful.
I don’t know where it is going to take me, but I stepped into what I considered the
I’m not a Make-Up Girl or the Revenge of the Eyelash “I’m not a make-up girl. It’s just not my personality.” Those words would have described me for most of my life. I was not the type of teenager who experimented with make-up and I didn’t wear foundation until...
When I turned 49-years-old I was not happy with my weight. I had gotten married two years earlier and had started my own business that same year. Happy married life, cooking for a husband who can eat anything he wants and not gain an ounce, and the stress of starting...
